what is your full name and nicknames?
Marie Assante - My best friend, Joy, calls me Malo since my middle name's Lorraine but I say it's because I'm a bit of a bad ass.
how do we know each other?
Initially, we connected via email because I'd pitch you my restaurants, bars, lounges, and rooftops for coverage consideration on CBSLocal.com and then we became friends after you began coming to some of my events and I realized you were the coolest girl in town...and I'm not just saying that since I'm your FOW :)

Like a true New Yorker it's all black everything
Favorite thing about living in NYC/Harlem?
I've lived in East Harlem since 2004 and love my proximity to authentic Mexican, Makana, Lion Lion, Target, my car and my family in Queens.
One kind of food and drink for the rest of your life. Go!
Eggplant Parmesan and seltzer or a great glass of Sauvignon Blanc.
craziest NYC moment??
My craziest NYC moment of recent memory was sitting directly across from my ex at The Pennsy, despite the fact that he doesn't even live in the state. What are the odds of that? Maybe I need to start playing Powerball.
What's your most embarrassing moment?
I could write an encyclopedia of embarrassing moments in my life.
What's something that most people don't know about you?
I'm a complete open book so I'm not sure there's something I've been hiding to be honest!

What's a day in the life of Marie like?
If it's a weekday it's jam-packed with emails, calls and meetings with clients, reporters and producers and usually capped off by an event at one of the spaces I represent. Today is no exception. I'll be at The Cutting Room for a Democratic fundraiser hosted by Cynthia Nixon, Alan Cumming and Taylor Schilling. There's never a dull moment!
Funniest moment with me that you can remember?
Taking you to Molos in Weehawken right around Valentine's Day, commiserating about being single and then watching someone propose during our brunch and then immediately have an engagement party in front of us.
First bucket list item that comes to mind?
Heading to Australia and I'm about to check that off this winter!
