#TravelTuesday: Love Reigns

hooray for #traveltuesday!

Shout out to my Instagram feed for making me feel insanely jealous about everyone's exotic travels. But, it did get me thinking about my next adventure. I don't know about you but with the holidays in full swing, it sure does make me want to be with my loved ones. It also has me thinking about the idea of love itself. It seems like we could all use a lot more of it (especially this year). That's why I've decided to celebrate love in its purest form.

by stalking the royals. ðŸ‡¬ðŸ‡§

That's a good reason to renew your #passport, right? The union of two people starting their lives together is always exciting, but the fact that Meghan Markle is a divorced, biracial, American woman over 35 marrying into the royal family is pretty groundbreaking. It definitely puts a big GIANT smile on my face. I didn't think I could be more obsessed with the royals - yes, I did stand out in the freezing cold for five hours one December NYC night to catch a glimpse of Kate Middleton and Prince William exiting The Met. I also watched the Royal Wedding in Times Square at 3 a.m. and stayed until 11 a.m. to watch it on repeat.

Meghan Markle is chic and stylish (heck, there's an entire website devoted to her favorite things) and I can't wait to see what she wears on the big day! I've always been a fan of Prince Harry, too. He seems to have a playful and infectious personality. I think Meghan is a great match for him - they have a natural ease about them that is very refreshing. I like that she's used to being in the spotlight and has a love for philanthropy the same way Harry and his family do. I also appreciate her realness. She's certainly poised and proper and can roll with the punches but she's also human and reactive. Just look at her adorable face here! You can tell how many Brits have already fallen in love with her. Seeing how affectionate she and Prince Harry are is also refreshing. They are truly a sign of the monarchy loosening up a bit. I just keep thinking about what's running through her mind right now. Her entire life is epically changing. I dye my hair one shade darker than my natural color and I think I'm Lisbeth Salander from The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo. Can you imagine moving to another continent, leaving your family, your friends, your job, and everything you once knew to pursue an entirely new life? Not to mention all the rules! I heard you can't eat before or after the Queen at the dining table. (Funny tidbit: I also read that the queen eats quickly so you better hurry up!).

With that said, I think my next big trip will definitely be to London in May! I haven't crossed the pond in over a decade and this seems like a damn good reason to visit. I mean, I pick up on accents quickly and maybe one of Prince Harry's single groomsmen friends will randomly bump into me at a pub? I like fish & chips! And a pint! And football! If anyone has suggestions of places to stay or good airline deals from NYC please let me know in the comment section. I'm very excited to visit one of my favorite cities in the world and to help celebrate the love between two very deserving people who have found each other despite some incredible odds. Cheers to love and to taking chances in life. Even if that means grabbing your passport and hopping on a flight bound for Heathrow. See you at the wedding, Meghan & Harry. ðŸ‘°ðŸ½ 🎩
