Spring Cocktails Have Sprung!
It may still feel like winter here in NYC but bartenders across the city are sprucing up their spring cocktail menu with vibrant drinks that will make you want to hug Central Park. Or at least share the lawn with this guy:
But before you oil up to lay out next to Leonardo Ricardo (that's what I named him), stop into one of these NYC hotspots or try out these recipes at home. Because you know that LR will always have your spot saved at Sheep Meadow.
chrysler - upstairs at the kimberly
- 1/4 oz. Liquefied honey
- 1/8 oz. Fresh Squeezed Lime Juice
- 1/8 oz. Fresh Squeezed Lemon Juice
- 1½ oz. Cognac
- Top with champagne or sparkling wine
Serve in champagne flute and garnish with lime wheel.
kentucky rose - Ocean prime
- Bulleit Bourbon
- Fresh Mint
- House Made Grenadine
- Cherry Bark Vanilla Bitters
Pour over ice and garnish with fresh mint.
midtown - upstairs at The Kimberly
- 5 Fresh Raspberries
- 1/3 oz. Fresh Squeezed Lemon Juice
- 2 oz. Chamomile Tea
- 1 1/2 oz. Bourbon
Muddle the raspberries in a cocktail shaker. Add the remaining ingredients and shake until mixed. Strain into a snifter glass and garnish with a rose petal.

- Devotion Orange and Cherry Vodka
- Casamigos Tequila
- Fresh Fruit
Bring your booziest friend and go to town. It's "meant" for two.
Aperol Spritz - Davio's Manhattan
- Soda Water
- Orange Wedge
This is one of my new go-to drinks when I'm at an Italian restaurant. It's almost too pretty to drink. Almost.
Garden Variety Margarita - The Wayland
- Blanco Tequila
- Ginger & Kale Juice
- Agave Nectar
- Smoked Sea Salt
Pour into glass and serve over ice. It's just like V8 juice. But not.
Burlesque lemonade - locl bar @ nylo hotel
- Croft Pink Port
- Fresh Lemon Juice
- Top with Sparkling Wine
Pour into coupe and garnish with star anise.
