Sometimes something comes into your life that is unexpected.

It changes you forever because you know you can't go back to how it used to be. It rocks you to your core.

I’m talking about the milkshakes at Black Tap in NYC.

These magnificent creations are the works of chef and owner of Black Tap, Joe Isidori. After his wife was craving a cotton candy milkshake, Isidori got straight to work and concocted this insane strawberry milkshake (served in a soda fountain glass and piled with clouds cotton candy, chocolate pearl candies, and plenty of whipped cream). The oversized swirly lollipop is just the right garnish.

But that’s not all he created.

There’s also The Cookie and the Sweet n’ Salty to consider. One is stacked with an actual chocolate chip ice cream sandwich while the other has married two worlds of sweet chocolate and caramel with salty pretzel rods and peanut butter. It’s really hard to go wrong with these two choices.

But keep your eye out for holidays, big sporting events, and birthday treats. The Valentine Red Velvet milkshake is on a whole other level: let’s just say a slice of red velvet cake is involved.

Until then, if you’re in New York City, make sure to stop in (okay you might have to wait in a gigantic line…but it’s worth it*).
